The International Symposium on Experimental Mechanics (ISEM) has been an integral part of the annual conference series organized by the Asian Society for Experimental Mechanics (ASEM) since its inception in 2002. This year, the 3rd ISEM will be hosted in Taiwan for the third time.

- 2010: 9th edition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

- 2013: 12th edition in Bangkok, Thailand
- 2014: 13th edition in Singapore
- 2015: 14th edition in Toyohashi, Japan
- 2016: 15th edition in Jeju, Korea

Unfortunately, the event was canceled from 2020 to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it successfully resumed in:

This year, in 2025, the 23rd ISEM will be held at the Windsor Hotel, Taichung, Taiwan. Organized by the Asian Society for Experimental Mechanics (ASEM), this grand event invites scholars and experts from around the globe to participate and collaborate in advancing the field of experimental mechanics.
